Basic:
You will get a license for Froala software to be used in one product that is generally accessible to the public supporting a maximum 3 different domains and all its' subdomains'. The domain count is based on the parent domain.
- Includes a 1-year subscription to software updates & technical support.

- Froala license is bound to the product name and can’t be reused on other products.
- You can’t use Froala Basic in SaaS or Subscription products or Intranets.
Example
Company ‘A’ is developing multiple products, let’s call them ‘Product-1’ and ‘Product-2’, under the “Basic” license. Company ‘A’ has to choose only one product to include “Froala” to. e.g ‘Product-1’. If company ‘A’ needs to use Froala in more than one product, then additional Froala licenses should be purchase to support each individual product.
NOTE: ‘Product-1’ should be accessible to the public e.g a blog, and should NOT be an app this is monetized in any way, a product that will be installed at multiple customer premises (On Prem Apps), an application which is available only for internal use or on a private network (Intranets) or a native mobile application.
If ‘Product-1’ is published on multiple domains, you can use Froala in ‘Product-1’ in a max of 3 domains, if you are required to use ‘Product-1’ in more than 3 domains consider upgrading your plan.
Pro
You will get a license for Froala Editor to be used in one product, at unlimited number of domains, in an Internal Apps, native mobile applications, or as a part of an application that is monetized.

- The Source Code is provided to the Customer for the purpose of modification, education and troubleshooting by request from [email protected].
- Under no circumstances shall any portion of the Source Code be distributed, disclosed or otherwise made available to any third party without the express, prior written consent of Froala.
- Under no circumstances may the Froala’ Source Code be used in whole or in part, as the basis for creating a product that provides the same or similar, or substantially the same or similar, functionality as any Froala product, Froala’ affiliates’ product or that competes in any manner with Froala products or Froala’ affiliates’ products.
Example
Company ‘A’ is developing multiple products, let’s call them ‘Product-1’ and ‘Product-2’, The dev team needs to use “Froala” in these products, under the “PRO” license they have to choose only one product to include “Froala” to. e.g ‘Product-1’. If company ‘A’ needs to use Froala in more than one product, the Froala license should be upgraded.
‘Product-1’ should NOT be a product that will be installed at multiple customer premises (On Prem Apps) and must be deployed on a server owned by the licensor.
Enterprise
You will get a license for Froala Editor to be used in an unlimited number of products, at unlimited number of domains, in an Internal App, native mobile application, or as a part of SaaS Application, or to develop a SaaS Application.

- The Source Code is provided to the Customer for the purpose of modification, education and troubleshooting.

Free Trial
You can always download the Froala WYSIWYG HTML Editor from our website before purchasing a license and test it while in development. Moreover, you will receive 30 days of FREE technical support after starting your trial. The trial is fully featured and the exact same as the Paid version. However, you will see Froala attribution watermarks and a red 'unlicensed' banner until a license is purchased.
LICENSE TIMELINE
Perpetual License:
- The customer can use Froala forever even without renewing maintenance.
- The customer will get 12 months of free software updates and technical support.
- If the customer renews maintenance services 1 month before the maintenance services expire, the customer will get a 25% discount off of the prices listed on our website at the moment of renewal.
- Maintenance Services shall automatically renew for an additional 12-month Maintenance Term and Froala will invoice Customer unless Froala or its authorized representative is notified by Customer in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the current Maintenance Term that Customer will not purchase Maintenance Services for another Maintenance Term.
- If the Customer terminates Maintenance Services or elects not to renew Maintenance Services, he still can use the last version of Froala that was available to him forever without any extra payments. For release dates, please consult the Changelog.
- If Customer terminates Maintenance Services or elects not to renew Maintenance Services, Customer may, at its option, purchase Maintenance Services within one year of such termination or non-renewal by providing notice to Froala and making payment of Froala’ then-current list maintenance fees for the upcoming 365-day period plus an amount equal to 1.5 times the Maintenance Services fees that would have accrued during the period subsequent to such termination or non-renewal, had Customer not terminated or elected not to renew Maintenance Services.
Annual License :
- The customer can use, get updates, and/or get technical support from Froala for 1 year.
- Upon expiration of the Initial Term and each Renewal Term, all licenses granted under this Agreement shall automatically renew for an additional 12-month Renewal Term and Froala will invoice Customer at the then-current subscription-based list price for such additional License Term unless Froala or its authorized representatives are notified by Customer in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the Initial Term or then-current Renewal Term, as applicable, that Customer will not renew the licenses granted hereunder for another Renewal Term.
- If the customer terminates his subscription, he can no longer use any version of Froala in his products anymore and must remove the library from all applications.
FAQ
No, all payments are exclusive of value added tax, sales tax and any other applicable taxes, duties or imposts which (with the exception only of those based on Froala’s income) shall also be payable by Customer in accordance with applicable law.
You can upgrade from one plan to another one by emailing [email protected]. Moreover, you will only owe the difference between the existing license and the upgraded license you want to procure.
The Perpetual license allows you to use the last version of Froala that was available for you in your projects for a lifetime, but you shall not reproduce the Licensed Material or other confidential or proprietary information of Froala unless you have a Redistribution license (Enterprise+).
Upon 30-days prior written notice to Froala, you may terminate your annual subscription by emailing [email protected].
Upon the termination of your annual subscription, you should
- Purge the Licensed Software and any related Updates from all of Customer’s computer systems, storage media and other files.
- Destroy the Licensed Material and all copies thereof.
- Deliver to Froala an affidavit certifying that Customer has complied with these termination obligations.
